Series 3/3
-
Created as part of the Shellphones series, this sculpture is an ode to the beach and a whimsical reminder to heed its calling. Other works from the series have been acquired for oceanfront resorts, landmark venues, and private coastal collections, while this piece remains available for placement.
Each sculpture is individually crafted using high-quality materials and advanced fabrication techniques, combining the durability required for public and high-traffic environments with lifelike textures at a larger-than-life scale. The work naturally invites interaction—viewers often step inside to listen for the sound of the ocean, instinctively reenacting the universal childhood ritual of holding a shell to the ear.
The Shellphones series was inspired by memories of listening to the ocean through a seashell—an everyday moment that evokes the wonder of our earliest encounters with nature. The series explores how reconnecting with that sense of curiosity can deepen the way we experience the world around us. It asks us to imagine a world where technology does not drown out the land, but amplifies it.
